The Panchashil College of Primary
Teachers Training is the institution catering the need
of developing teachers who can take up challenges of
teaching in primary schools. The Govt. of India
has launched "SARVA SIKSHA ABHIYAN".
The scenario of primary school in our country is blur
and it is observed that there is a dearth of teachers
who can really take up the real challenges of primary
school education. We do respect the findings of
the premier institutions and it is our commitment to
provide such training that makes prospective teachers
excellent and efficient.
Panchshil College of Primary Teachers
Training was established in 2002-03. It is
recognised by Gujarat Council of Educational Research
and Training, Gandhinagar and Dept. of Education,
Govt. of Gujarat. The institution is established
under NCTE Act and is also recognised by NCTE.
The approved intake of the institution
is 50 + 50; regular intake and additional intake under
SSA. There is coeducation and almost equal
numbers of male and female trainees are enrolled each
year. The two years PTC course is offered as per norms
and standards established. As per the rules and
regulation of Govt. of Gujarat, the institution
provides hostel facilities for men and women.
The examination is conducted by state wide Board of
Examinations, State Examination Board, Gujarat State,
Ahmedabad.
